Rafael Nadal won the 9th Roman title in Final by beating Novak Djokovic.

Rafael Nadal won with a 6-0 4-6 6-1 over Novak Djokovic in the Italian Open final on Sunday.

Rafael Nadal proved that he would still be the man to beat when the French Open begins later this month after he humbled Novak Djokovic 6-0 4-6 6-1 in the Italian Open final on Sunday to win a record 34th ATP Masters 1000 title.

Nadal got off to a flying start by whitewashing Djokovic in the opening set.
Djokovic took the second by breaking Nadal’s serve for the first time while leading 5-4.
The top seed fought back in the second as he saved four break points before winning the decisive game on Nadal’s serve to take the set 6-4.

He was playing strongly and hold the title in Italian open final.

Karolina Pliskova wins career big clay-title in Italian Open Final.

Kaolina Pliskova beat Johanna Konta by 6-3, 6-4  to hold the carrer big clay- title in Italian Open.

Karolina Pliskova win the biggest clay-clay-court title of her career by beating Johanna Konta 6-3, 6-4 Sunday in the Italian Open final.

Pliskova also reached the Australian Open semifinals and the Miami Open final after opening this season with a title in Brisbane, Australia.

The unseeded Konta appeared nervous at the start, double faulting then landing a backhand into the net to hand Pliskova a break in her opening service game.

In the second set, Pliskova used a swinging forehand volley putaway to break for a 4-3 lead and never looked back.

After converting her third championship point, Pliskova went over and slapped hands with Conchita Martinez, the four-time Rome champion who she recently named her head coach. Pliskova then asked Martinez and the rest of her team to come down onto the court for her victory celebration.

In Sunday’s final, Nadal will resume his rivalry with top-ranked Novak Djokovic, who faced an unusually high number of drop shots from Diego Schwartzman before winning 6-3, 6-7 (2), 6-3.

Djokovic also required three sets to eliminate Juan Martin del Potro in the quarterfinals, meaning he has been on court for more than 5 { hours over the last two days. It will be the 54th career meeting between Djokovic and Nadal, with Djokovic leading the series 28-25. The pair has split the four Italian Open finals they’ve played. They last met in the Australian Open final won by Djokovic in straight sets.

Johanna Konta rallied past sixth-seeded Kiki Bertens 5-7, 7-5, 6-2 in nearly three hours on Saturday to reach the Italian Open final for the biggest clay-court result of her career.

The 42nd-ranked Konta served for the first set at 5-4 but was broken at love. But Bertens double faulted to let Konta serve for the second set and Konta got an early break in the third set and made the victory and reach in finals.
